Construction demolition management plan

Pavements

There will be temporary changes to the pavement layout on the King’s Road and Tryon Street. This will include a protective walkway on the King’s Road in front of King’s Walk, which will allow pedestrians to continue to walk safely along the King’s Road. A small section of pavement on the west side of Tryon Street will be temporarily closed during construction and pedestrians will be diverted onto the opposite side of the street. However, the road will remain open to traffic.

Access to Ranelagh House and Mitre House

It is intended that existing access for Ranelagh House residents and Mitre House will be maintained during construction.

Construction vehicles

Construction vehicles will enter the site from the King’s Road, but no road closures will be needed and we will minimise traffic disruption as far as possible. Traffic marshals will be in place at all l times to manage vehicles safely in and out of site. All vehicles will arrive on the northern side of the road travelling eastbound, and will reverse into site. All vehicles leaving the site will turn left onto the King’s Road to avoid having to cross onto the opposite carriageway.

Noise

Careful consideration will be given to ensure disruption is minimised throughout the project. Noise, dust, and vibration monitoring will be in place and works will take place on a ‘two hours on, two hours off’ basis to further reduce the impact.
